Aim and Scope
The Ecoscan Journal (ISSN 0974-0376) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal published quarterly by the National Environmentalists Association (NEA), Ranchi, India. The journal aims to provide a platform for the publication of original research, reviews, and short communications that advance understanding of the natural environment and support evidence-based conservation and environmental management.
The journal welcomes submissions across the following areas:
- Ecology & Ecosystem Studies — population ecology, community ecology, ecosystem function, habitat assessment
- Biodiversity & Wildlife Conservation — species diversity, endangered species research, wildlife management, conservation biology
- Environmental Pollution & Toxicology — air, water, and soil pollution; ecotoxicology; bioremediation
- Natural Resource Management — sustainable use of forests, water, land, and other natural resources
- Climate Change & Environmental Change — ecological impacts of climate change, adaptation, and mitigation research
- Forestry & Land-Use Studies — forest ecology, land-use change, afforestation and reforestation
- Environmental Microbiology & Soil Science — soil health, microbial ecology, nutrient cycling
- Animal Physiology & Zoology — comparative physiology, animal behaviour, and other zoological research with environmental relevance
- Sustainable Development — environmental policy, sustainability science, and human-environment interactions
This scope is intentionally interdisciplinary, reflecting the journal's foundation at the intersection of zoology and environmental science, and is maintained at a level of breadth and rigour suitable for indexing by major abstracting and citation databases.
